Companies today understand the value of effective collaboration within their teams and across organizations.  There is usually, however, a lack of clarity as to how to best harness the talent and high performance of individuals within the collaborative process.  Carlos Valdes-Dapena is the founder of Corporate Collaboration Resources, an organization and group effectiveness consulting firm.  He has been working with organizations for over 17 years on collaboration and teamwork.  Carlos spent time at Mars, Inc. where he worked on brands including M&Ms, Snickers, Uncle Ben’s Rice and Wrigley’s Gum.  While at Mars, he was awarded the Global Make a Difference Award, given to him based on his development of the framework for high performance collaboration.  Carlos has authored a new book coming out shortly called Lessons from Mars: How one Global Company Cracked the Code on High Performance Collaboration and Teamwork.  Prior to Mars, Carlos spent three years at IBM as an executive coach and consultant working with their top 35 global leaders.  H began his consulting career at Development Dimensions International (DDI), the global talent development firm, where he was a leadership and management performance consultant.

Darrin Murriner has over a decade of experience working at some of America’s largest corporations. He has managed large, complex teams at companies like Arthur Andersen, Fifth Third Bank and Munich Re. In those environments, he has been both an employee and an outside consultant in the areas of Operations, Finance and Risk Management. In 2015, Darrin cofounded a company called Cloverleaf Me, a firm that uses a technology platform to build high performing teams.  Michael Bungay Stanier joins HR Studio Podcast for Part 2 of our conversation on coaching and adopting coach like behaviors. Michael also authored Do More Great Work, and some of his writings have appeared in Business Insider, Fast Company, Forbes, The Global Mail and the Huffington Post. But it has not all been glorious. He was banned from his high school graduation and sued by one of his Law School lecturers for defamation.
